Personal update:

August is fast approaching and that means my fall semester is going to be starting in just a couple of weeks. That means lots of reading and preparing ahead of time. Not too much excitement to report at this time but I’ll keep you posted!

I am still making my way through this monster of a novel! I am currently over 300 pages into the book and loving it so much. I am still missing my mistborn world but this one is just as equally fascinating. I am also noticing growth in Sanderson’s writing which is very interesting to me. He never fails to keep me engaged and guessing.

I am in love with Kaladin and Dalinar is finally starting to grow on me! Syl is still my favorite so far!

Personal Update:

I have only one month of summer left before I jump back into my schooling! It is bittersweet to think about, but I am excited to once again be immersed in learning. I am taking some really interesting courses this semester so that should be fun!

I am very excited to continue on with my Sanderson book journey by jumping into The Way of Kings! As of right now, I am only 37 pages into the book and I am a bit disoriented but I have heard I need to push past the 100 page mark and then it really picks up. So far I am really liking what I am reading and will be updating more as I go!

Not much to report on, still just enjoying my time away from school. I can’t believe I am actually going to admit this, but I miss my studies! Sunday Post: A Catch Up/What’s Been Going On

Hi reader fam! I miss you all so much. Today’s post is a bit of an informational post just letting you know what’s been up and why I haven’t been too active.

As some of you may now I have started college! It is pretty exciting and the campus that I have my classes on is HUGE. I’ve only fallen once too so that’s pretty good for my clumsy record lol. I am also holding a job which takes up the rest of my days. It’s been hectic trying to balance that and school so everything else so far has been put on hold.

With those two things taking up all of my time reading has sadly (it truly breaks my heart) been on the back burner. I’ve been dying to write/read and all of the motivation has been sucked up. I’ve been going through a bout of a reading slump… it happens every year around this time; I exert myself the beginning of summer and than have no will to continue on.

I am hoping that when September comes (oh my gosh we’re almost in September! YIKES) that my reading slump will go away. Lots of books that I’m excited to read come out in September so I have very high hopes.

I will be more active on my blog in the coming months ahead as I find some much needed balance. I would like to say a massive thank you to each and everyone of you that follow this blog/like/read my posts. You all mean the world to me!

I just wanted to fill you guys in on whats been happening behind the books and screen in case anyone was wondering. If not and you’ve read this post still, I hope that this has shed some light for you as well.

I have some exciting things planned for this blog in the coming months so please stay tuned! Also, if anyone has some great book recommendations please send them in. This reading slump is destroying me!!!

I hope that you have all had a great week-end and I wish you all lovely weeks ahead.

-Samantha 🙂

Personal Update:

Work work work work….. That is what my life has become! This past week I had very long shifts that I had to get used to so those took up all my time. I have made some new coworker friends so that is making it much more fun! Other than that nothing else is new for me.

I am only on chapter 3 of this book so far but it seems very interesting! I haven’t had too much free time to read so I am slowly trying to sneak in some time.

Have an amazing week and keep on reading!

I am enjoying what I am doing and everyone has been so kind, for that I am lucky. My people person persona is popping up more and more!
